I am starting my own business of selling clothes wholesalers and accessories and am having a hard time finding websites for genuine brand name/designer wholesalers (plenty of people claiming to be wholesalers but theyre not) no-one in the retail business is willing to give out this information and the search engines generally produce the rip offs claiming to be wholesalers. I have come across sites willing to sell this information but i am reluctant to use these as im not sure if they are for real or not. so please if anybody can help me i would be truly grateful.

How do I start buying clothes wholesale without having any good business contacts? I’ve been buying and re-selling small items but I’d like to start selling new products to make a good profit- sneakers, clothing etc., and I am looking for a legitimate place that will sell to me that is not located overseas. I would preferably like to travel on the east coast and pick up merchandise and not have to deal with mail order (because you don’t always know what your getting).

I am looking for solid advice, not someone trying to sell me their merchandise. I realize not many people like to give up this information as many people don’t want others cutting in on their business, but I’m trying to get honest guidance to get myself grounded in sales.
