Full-Figure Fashion

Saturday, May 15th, 2010

There is a huge misconception about fashion for heavier women. The standard fashion styles and outfits advertised in magazines and presented in runway shows are not adapted for full figure women. If you are a little heavier than the rest, don’t think you can’t look as fabulous and glamorous as the rest. Nowadays, the fashion industry crosses barriers and welcomes full figured women to experiment new sizes and opportunities. There is a big variety of ingenious and fashionable designer collections for curvier or oversized women.
The black dress is always the ideal “wingman” in full figured women’s wardrobe; it could be a top v-neck, strapless, asymmetric, this piece promises to hide with discretion any excess baggage. But don’t limit yourself to black, some designer’s proposals are as big as their creations, but the purpose is the most valuable aspect of it; making plus size women feel beautiful and sexy, make them comfortable in their own skin. Heavier women like feeling and know which colors they should wear to help them appear skinnier.

Bigger women shouldn’t be afraid of using traditional colors, they are openly welcome with unconventional styles that can make their figure shine, outstanding their best features. Even animal print is one of the popular trends for this season, may it be in a shirt or a sexier dress.

For the most special day of their lives, wedding dresses should not be limited to certain models, au contraire; there are millions of options for the wedding ensemble; whether with a traditional dress or anything a little more original and fun like a pantsuit.

Pants and black tops visually reduce the body’s volume, but to feel more modern and feminine, solid color and ribbon accent always help to get that style that breaks away from the monotony of your usual wardrobe. Solid color dresses also are preferred for plus size women, add up a nice broche or belt to outshine that chic style that identifies you and will make you look very distinguished.

If you are the bustier type of woman, try enhancing your best feature for a girl’s night out, don’t hide it. For example, use a v-neck top with a more defining waistline whereas your top will not be the first people that will pop to an onlooker’s eyes. You can also wear a shirt with baggy sleeves and a pencil skirt that can elongate your figure. If you get tired of hiding yourself behind embellished shirts and skirts, don’t forget that a dress with a lacy bust line or a nice print can work for a day at the office as well as a casual affair at night.

Feeling comfortable is the most important part of dressing up. Some people say that women don’t dress up for men, they dress up for other women, but this should change; you should always dress up for yourself and your self-esteem. Look at yourself in the mirror before going out and always tell to yourself how beautiful you look. Buy Wholesale Plus Size Clothing Here >>

Five Tips for Choosing the Best Swimwear in Plus Size

Saturday, May 1st, 2010

As the temperatures rise, you may begin to think of beaches, swimming pools, and the dreaded trip to the department store to pick out swimwear in plus size. More than ever, there are a multitude of different styles, colors, and fabrics that are available to full figured women. So, how do you begin your search for the right swimwear in plus size for you? Follow these five tips the next time you hit the mall in search of the right bikini, tankini, or one-piece.
Pay For Quality

Let’s face it. Swimwear in plus size can be expensive. A good quality suit can set you back $60 to $100. Yes, you can still find cheap swimwear for less than $40, but an inexpensive suit might not fit as well or be as durable. If you will be wearing a bathing suit more than three or four times, invest in one that fits well and is made to last.

Select A Style

Not too long ago, plus size women were limited to less than flattering maillots with matronly attached skirts. This was not a pretty look. These days, you can choose from Clothing Showroom’s bikinis, flattering tankinis, sporty one-piece suits, boy shorts, and board shorts. Consider what you will be doing in your bathing suit. If you will be doing lots of swimming, you may want to choose a one piece with ample support and coverage. If sunbathing is more your speed, try the cute bikini.

Choose Your Coverage

Every woman has something about her body that she doesn’t especially like. So, don’t worry. Look for a style that plays up your best features and camouflages the less than perfect. If you are fair skinned, you may also want to look for additional coverage from the sun.

Consider Shopping Online

If you detest the fluorescent lights in the department store dressing rooms and the pesky saleswomen who are not especially helpful, you may want to shop for swimwear from the privacy of your own home. There are numerous online swimwear retailers that carry a wide range of styles and sizes. Most online stores have great customer service, but make sure you understand the return policy before you buy.

You Are Your Worst Critic

Give yourself a break when trying on swimwear. Not every suit is going to look perfect or even fit. Remember to find a suit that makes you feel comfortable. The last thing you want to be doing on the beach is tugging on your bottoms or in your tummy. Go ahead and strut your stuff with confidence, and everyone else will think that you look great.

Plus Size Swimwear is Beautiful

Friday, April 30th, 2010

It is difficult to get a good stylish plus size swimwear. Women with huge bodies are not encouraged by the type of swimwear that they get. The requirements of the plus size women are understood by some designers who have given stylish wraps and sarongs to suit their extra large womens swimwear.

The perfect plus size swimwear takes time to find. Don’t rush yourself; hold out for a quality suit that makes you feel good about yourself. Your patience will pay off!

Plus size swimsuits on sale are easy to find, if you look in the right places. The best place to find your perfect swimsuit might be plus size online stores. However, some regular department stores online also carry designer plus size swim suits. Specialty boutiques will probably have the best fitting and best selection of swimsuits. Sometimes, if you start looking early, you can find great plus size swimsuits on a great discount, sometimes even up to 50% off!

When fitting for a wholesale swimwear, measure the bust, waist and hip. The bust is around the chest, under the arms to the biggest part. The waist is nice and loosely around the middle. And the hip measurement is right smack dab around the curviest part. Also, remember that most swimwear styles include a choice of leg height: the French cut (not the most flattering style on most women); traditional bikini cut; grandma’s cut, all the way down to the boy-shorts length – my personal favorite.

If you’re fat and you need some plus size swimwear, you might look into using wraps and sarongs to cover up that cellulite or other flaws. Now you don’t want a wrap that’s so big that it falls all over the place. But it has to be big enough to cover the parts you need covered while still leaving you feeling comfortable if its a hot day.

And never let the size of your body determine the fun you can have at the beach! There is more to the summer vacation with your kids than just the swimwear! But, as I know too well, a poorly fitting swimsuit can put a damper on any beach day. So find yourself some great stylish plus size swimwear and enjoy!
