Tips For Choosing Flattering Plus Size Swimwear
When the peak of the summer season begins, the much dreaded annual event of swimsuit shopping begins to take place. For plus size women, searching for affordable and stylish plus size swimwear can seem impossible. Trying on bathing suits is a terrible process altogether, and one many women choose to avoid for as long as possible. Making matters worse is the seeming lack of any cheap plus size swimwear that not only flatters the figure but enhances your womanly curves rather than impairing them. Luckily there are tons of tips you can use to find swimsuits that will flatter any plus size figure and leave you feeling like the sun goddess you truly are.
Just because you’re plus size doesn’t mean you have to cover it all up come swimsuit season. Quite the contrary! Showing a little skin in just the right places can make you look svelte and super all in one shot. For gals who prefer modesty, choose a one-piece swimsuit that includes a lace or mesh insert. Strategically placed details (a deep V-neck to show off your ample cleavage, for example or a surprising cutout) can amp up your playboy appeal even more. If you’re uncomfortable with your hips or thighs, no problem! With the addition of a flirty sarong to your swimsuit ensemble, you look both glamorous and fashionable whatever the weather.
Dark and cool colors flatter most plus size women, as do certain patterns. Keep in mind when choosing a patterned suit that the print should remain small and not too busy. Solid colors with a splash of a surprising print thrown into the mix is a great idea for plus sized gals, which not only enhance your curves but offer the support and coverage you need. For shy women, you can certainly cover up but remember less is always more. Too much fabric can add extra bulk to your frame, making you look bigger than you really are. Also try to stay away from white as much as possible, as well as neon colors. These are rarely, if ever, attractive on anyone.
For plus sized women concerned with their stomachs, there are a slew of great bathing suits on the market that offer discreet, tummy control shaping inside the suit. They truly do work wonders, and give you the self confidence you need to hit the water. If you like the feel of a two-piece but don’t want to bare all in a bikini, consider a stylish tankini. These cover your stomach just enough to keep you confident, while simultaneously giving you the look and feel of a two piece without the skin factor. Whatever you do, stay away from small bikinis or solid colored one pieces.
Insecure women who don’t care for their hips or thighs should consider one of the new mini-skirt bathing suits that are hitting the market. They’re not only cute, they offer the coverage you crave while on the beach or poolside. However, stay away from boy shorts, excess ruffles or skimpy pieces. These not only look unflattering on plus size women, but it draws attention away from your positive assets.
Whatever your body shape, there are tons of plus size swimwear options for you. Whether you prefer one piece or two, a sarong or nothing at all, you’re guaranteed to look made in the shade come summer by following these simple steps to enhance your curves and flatter your figure.

I’m sure that plus size women have few very frustrating moments before going to beach. I think this is really not necessary bucause it is more about the confidence and energy you express than your look.
Of course it is great to have nice swimming suit and all but don’t care too much about everything. You enjoy your time on the beach.

I specially like babydoll halter tankini idea for plus size ladies. Not only that hides your problematic areas, it also looks like you’re not trying to hide anything. You will feel comfortable and look self-confident and that is the best look for beaches.

I’d like to advise not purchase a swimsuit based on how much weight you think you may lose by the time you get your bathers on. Many women do this as a motivation technique but end up not losing the weight and having a bathing suit that cannot be worn. The best size to buy is your current size. Look for swimwear that is comfortable and fits well.

I wish more people would write blogs like this that are really fun to read. With all the fluff floating around on the net, it is rare to read a blog like this instead.
